This is my first Land Rover 200 Series Discovery TDI S. It was imported from Germany and first registered in 1994. Since buying it in June 98, I have covered 20,000 miles and only had to replace a steering pump (which was on its way out when I bought it ) and buy two new tyres for the front. I have , however, always had it service every 6,000 miles and have recently started to increase its performance.

For now I have just started with the simple (and cheap) thing of removing the standard air filter unit and replacing it with a Piper Cross performance air filter. This coupled with turning up the fuel pump has turned it into a reasonably quick 4x4.I would stress that I had the pump adjusted by a professional, Richard Hopkins, who runs Richards 4x4 and has competed in a number of key events, including the Paris Dakkar and Baja race events. Check out his site and if your a UK visitor, give him a call for prices and services......i think you will find the prices a refreshing change !.

I purchased my Series 200 Discovery in June 98. At that time it had covered 62,000 miles and had been owned by a company director from the highlands of Scotland.I was fortunate that it came fully loaded with extras such as Electric Pack, Freestyle Alloys, Metallic Paint, Twin Sunroofs, Side Running Boards and Air Conditioning. I bought the Land Rover to carry my ever increasing family around, however, it always raises an eyebrow when one of them asks ' Do I have to sit in the boot today Daddy ?!!'.
I have given up explaining it has seats in the back.......... Its a Land Rover..................... please dont report me to the Childcare people................. can i offer you any money.........etc etc !!.
